We provide a sociable, fun and safe environment for women of all ages and abilities to participate in healthy exercise.
We meet every Thursday at 7pm at Hove Rugby Club, Hove Recreation Ground, Old Shoreham Road. Please click here for a map.
We normally offer a short run of about 3-4 miles and a long run of about 5-6 miles. No-one is left behind and we re-group at regular intervals.
In the summer months we often take our Thursday evening runs off road – start locations will be listed on the website and are always in the local area.
We also offer regular training nights during the week and a monthly club training session on a Thursday. We have a programme of Sunday runs and in the summer we include off-road running on the Downs on some weekly runs.
Club runs are organised by the vice chair (Naomi) on a Sunday morning, some Saturday mornings and on a Thursday evening. Training sessions are those organised by our coaches and lirfs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Each year we are allocated places in both the Brighton and London Marathon which we pass on to our members via a ballot.
If you want to come along, email us first to check where and when we will next be running. If you like us, you can download a new members form from the membership section on the top headings.
If you would like to learn to run with us, click here for details of our beginners course.
We regret to say that we do not allow dogs to run with us for health and safety reasons. Any members with dogs wishing to run with others can of course organise their own runs with members via our member only Facebook page. Ther is als a great website with details of running with dogs http://www.canicross.org.uk for those of you interested.
